Construction Skills:

Teran Hughes has spent over thirty-five years learning the building trade.  He has designed and completed numerous remodels and has built custom homes from the ground up.  Teran has a comprehensive understanding of the entire building process.  With hands-on experience of the many facets of construction, he is extremely valuable overseeing, supervising, and personally building any project.  Teran is a very dedicated worker and does not shy away from the tasks at hand.  He believes the only way to get it done is to get it done.  He strives for perfection in all he does.  Teran’s gift is that he can easily visualize possibilities, offer different options, and help you to make your dreams your reality.

Teran is very interested in using green building methods and recycled materials.  After living in his own solar home, off the grid, for fifteen years, Teran understands the importance of energy conservation.  He hopes to help people live more consciously through implementing sustainable and green building into everyday living.

Teran also has a passion for natural art and sculpture.  As a sculpture student in college, Teran was constantly transforming and enriching space.  He is excellent at incorporating elements from nature into his work, thereby bringing the outside world into his clients’ homes, offices, and outdoor spaces.

Management Skills:

1) Through experience, Teran knows how to schedule subcontractors, meetings, and deliveries so that the job is completed as efficiently and timely as possible.

2) Teran has the ability to estimate costs and quantities of materials from specified plans and place orders with scheduled deliveries at appropriate times.

3) Teran’s balanced personality allows him to easily mediate and bridge communication between architects, homeowners, and subcontractors.  It is his responsibility to make sure the homeowners’ wishes are understood and addressed.

4) Overall, Teran is excellent at maximizing efficiency and maintaining harmony on site.
